Corrosion Under Insulation
Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) is a well-known phenomena in process controls. Using guided wave ultrasonic inspection, MES can determine the extent of corrosion damage. The method employs mechanical stress waves that propagate along an elongated structure while guided by its boundaries. This allows the waves to travel a long distance with little loss in energy and the technique can be used on buried or insulated pipe.
MES now offering Tensile Testing and Compression Testing to 600,000 pounds!
MES has added a 600K load frame to our already extensive line of universal load test machines. The new Forney brand tensile/compression tester will allow our engineers and test technicians to test 8″ diameter concrete cylinders in compression and #20 reinforcement bar in tensile test. The tester can also be used for cement briquettes, cubes and cylinders, rebar with joints or T-Caps, and other materials.

MES at NATE UNITE 2017 – Feb. Fort Worth, Texas
Metallurgical Engineering Services will have a booth at the National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) 2015 conference February 23-26 to demonstrate our guided wave ultrasonic technology on anchor rod. MES has been assigned booth 720.
